Last month I was asked to feature in Grazia for Gucci at the Grand Prix Show jumping event in Al Forsan Internationl sports resort in Abu Dhabi. Of course, I gladly accepted the exciting offer of being dressed up in the label loved by the likes of Salma Hayek, Jessica Biel and Li Bing Bing.
Before the day I was taken to the Gucci store in Mall of the Emirates where I tried on a few outfits from the latest collection. I chose to wear a beautiful floaty floral one sided dress, with cute nude suede shoes, a floppy hat and matching bag.
On the day we were picked up ‘Gucci style’ and escorted to the event. Here are some pics from behind the scenes…
All made up, dressed up and ready to shoot…
And here is the article itself..
Many thanks to Gucci and Grazia for the fabulous feature, pampering and lovely day out!
Here are a few shots from a recent impromptu photoshoot ( in my home) with talented Filipino model/ photography Xela Gneullac. The lovely green jumpsuit was made especially for me by fantastic Filipina designer- Daze Tan!
So, last week the super beautiful and talented miss Diya Ajit sent an email to all her girlfriends asking if we would like to be picked up in a limousine, [stocked nicely with champagne], to the launch of a new store “Bimba & Lola” (have to get that right as I kept saying “Bambi” ) .. where we would enjoy nibbles & a free gift ??
Well, as any girl can imagine, within 2 minutes all 10 spaces were gone, (ah the joy of blackberries and iphones.) “Hells yeah!” was pretty much a group consensus.
And, just so you know, we’re all hard working relatively well earning ladies.. but even the most high knows we all deserve a superficial trashy night out now and then.

As a thank-you to Bimba & Lola, allow me to promote a lovely new store in the Burjaman mall (the first in the UAE), with some pictures of models and fashionistas across the globe wearing their bags/ clothes..
Today I longed to be away from the craziness of South Beach ..
I don’t want to hear house music for oooh, a few years? hehe
After walking up and down Lincoln and Collins avenue I decided to try and find the art district.. had heard good things about it. But the Cuban taxi driver told me if i wanted cafes and small stores I should check out this place across the bridge called “Coconut grove”.. so off we went!
I didnt take a great picture of the town itself .. so here’s one I stole off the internet to give you an idea ..
I grew up near a small quaint town called ‘Ledbury’…
So I feel at home in small towns like this
Found a small sushi cafe, enjoyed a good lunch and took in the fresh air, peace and quiet.
Some days, like today, I just want to be alone, think, explore… I don’t want noise or chatter around me.
I want to wander the streets and see what I can find..
and I found some lovely places and things
If you’re from Miami and wanna check it out:

This was my big find today —>>> <3
Must say I am loving the colours in Miami…
Yes, Shu Shine.. I wondered if it was spelt Shu on purpose?!
Just fell in love with this little barber shop. Only in America would you get this!!
On the way back over the bridge saw these crazy ‘things’ in the distance..
Rumour has it that Star wars creator George Lucas himself was inspired by these when he came to Miami..
EPIC!
Well I must say its been a good day.
I’m going to leave you with the wonderful Joni Mitchell
“Sparkle on the ocean Eagle at the top of a tree Those crazy crows always making a commotion This land is home to me.
I was talking to my neighbor He said, “When I get to heaven, if it is not like this, I’ll just hop a cloud and I’m coming right back down here Back to this heavenly bliss.”
You see those lovely hills They won’t be there for long They’re gonna tear ‘em down And sell them to California Here come the toxic spills Miners poking all around When this place looks like a moonscape Don’t say I didn’t warn ya…
Money, money, money… Money makes the trees come down It makes mountains into molehills Big money kicks the wide wide world around.
Black bear in the orchard At night he’s in my garbage cans He’s getting so bold but no one wants to shoot him He’s got a right to roam this land.
I feel like Geronimo I used to be as trusting as Cochise But the white eyes lies He’s out of whack with nature And look how far his weapons reach!
Spirit of the water Give us all the courage and the grace To make genius of this tragedy unfolding The genius to save this place. “
